The Bangladesh National Information Window is under the auspices of the Cabinet Department of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh under the A2I (Access to Information) program to ensure the right of the people to access information and services provided by government departments in the country. It was further said at the inaugural function that 1.5 million people visit this information window every day. On the night of July 23, Alexa (www.alexa.com), a ranking and popularity verification website, ranked 242th among the websites visited from Bangladesh. And 62,835 in the world.
The government wants the citizens of the country to get information on agriculture, education, health, law, tourism etc.
